About BCW

BCW, the Belgian Independent Cleanroom Association, has been a leading non-profit organization in the field of cleanroom technology and practices since its founding in 1989. Our main goal is to promote knowledge and expertise in the design, construction and management of cleanrooms according to national and international standards and best practices.

Belgian Cleanroom Workgroup

Through various activities we share knowledge and bring suppliers and end users into contact with each other in the world of cleanrooms and controlled areas. BCW also has several technical committees with specialists in various fields related to Cleanrooms.

This includes Cleanroom standards, GMP, qualification and validation, monitoring, clothing, cleaning, consumables, microbiology.

International working groups

BCW organizes professional Cleanroom training for various target groups. This through study days, seminars and courses. BCW is a member of international umbrella organisations.

We also participate in international working groups and standards committees, including the standards committee TC209, which manages the most important Cleanroom standard ISO14644.

BCW works cross-sectoral, which means that our members come from different sectors including bio-pharmaceutical, medical, semiconductor and other industries.

As an independent cleanroom association, BCW provides information about building and operating Cleanrooms according to (inter)national norms, standards and good practices
